One of the most difficult decisons that face older persons and adults with disabilities is what type of health insurance plan to join. Questions about joining health insurance plans that offer the cost and coverage that they need can be a challenge.
Help is available. The Department of Elderly Affairs published the Rhode Island Guide to Buying Medicare Supplement Insurance and Medicare Advantage Plans. This guide explains the basics of Medicare and insurance plans that work with Medicare. For a free copy of this publication, call DEA at 401-462-4000. You can also request a copy by e-mail to larry@dea.state.ri.us
